Mimi Movie Review

After watching the trailer of Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi's film 'Mimi', its story was guessed. Seeing the film, it seems that even today, surrogacy films could not move ahead of Salman Khan's film 'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke'. The film was supposed to release on July 30 but after the leaked reports, it had to release on July 26 itself.

Did not succeed in laughing, increased confusion

In the film, Kriti Sanon is a beautiful dancer from a small town in Rajasthan. Mimi dreams of becoming a Bollywood star. She sees her dream come true when she meets an American couple. This couple is looking for an Indian girl who can give birth to their child through surrogacy. Pankaj Tripathi is in the role of Bhanu, the driver of this couple. Mimi needs money to get a portfolio made by Dabboo Ratnani. Bhanu persuades Mimi to have a child for Rs 20 lakh. Under this deal, Mimi becomes pregnant. To hide this secret from their parents, Pankaj Tripathi and Kriti Sanon become a Muslim couple and move to a friend's (Sai Tamhankar) house. In the middle of the story, from Pankaj Tripathi to Manoj Pahwa, have tried to create a comic situation, but did not succeed. A lot of confusion has also been created in the film due to lies and secrets.

Tragedy instead of comedy

The film is a bit worth watching when the tragedy begins in it. The American couple changes their decision to have a child, but Mimi is already pregnant. Mimi gets attached to the baby and decides to give birth to it. She lies to her parents because of her fear that the child is Bhanu's.

Kriti Sanon didn't seem convinced

Kriti Sanon is not seen in the role of Rajasthani girl. The highlights and accent of her hair is reminiscent of a girl from South Delhi. In some scenes of the film, he has given great emotions like in one scene Mimi takes her child in her lap for the first time, at that time the camera is on her face and a tear drips from her eye. There is neither much crying nor unnecessary laughter in this scene. An emotion conveys that now Mimi's life will not be the same as before. It would have been better if the screenplay of the film was a bit tighter. You will start getting bored in many places. The story and scenes need to be written well.

Do you want to watch this movie or not?

If you sit watching the film with high expectations from the cast like Pankaj Tripathi, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak and Sai Tamhankar, then you will feel disappointed. Although if you are a fan of Kriti Sanon then you can watch the film.
