Doctor Strange Movie Review
Hearing the name of the doctor, not only children but elders also panic. But not only will everyone be surprised by the amazing adventures of this Marvel doctor, but they will also fall in love with him. Movies based on the superheroes of Marvel Comics have always entertained the audience. In this episode, Doctor Strange is a new superhero, the film based on which released this week.
Stephen Strange aka Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is a renowned neurosurgeon. He is also known for his obstinate mood. He has lost both his hands in a horrific car accident. Strange believes he knows everything about everything, but as the story progresses, he realizes at every turn that he really knows nothing about anything.
The story begins in Nepal, where the librarian from Kamar Taj is murdered by Callicus (Mads Mickilson) and his followers, the enigmatic Ancient One (a fictional character played by Tilda Swinton, who is also a role model for Doctor Strange). stole a book. The Ancient One teaches about the mysterious powers at Qamar Taj and how long it has been alive, no one knows yet. The Ancient One follows Callicus upon hearing of the theft, so Calycus may not be able to take the entire book, but manages to take a few pages of the book.
On the other hand, Christine Palmer (Rachael McAdams), a colleague and former love interest of Dr. Strange who lost her hand in a horrific car accident, is helping Strange get over the accident. But Strange's entire focus is on getting his lost hands back. After months of multiple surgeries, Strange one day meets a man named Jonathan Pangborn, who can walk again after losing his leg in a similar accident. Pangborn takes Strange to the Kamar Taj, where he first meets Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and then the Ancient One. The Ancient One introduces Strange to her powers. After many pleas from Strange, the Ancient One agrees to give him all its powers.
After the murder of the old librarian, the care of the library is now in the hands of Master Wang (Benedict Wang). It is here that Strange learns that the Earth is protected by three invisible forces. Strange has to help in the task of protecting the earth in order to get his hands back. In a hurried manner, Strange reads the pages stolen by Callicus and acquires the power to turn time. Wang and Mordo warn Strange that doing so could be dangerous. On the other hand, Calicus and his followers invoke Doramammu, the master of black forces, which destroys a protected part of the earth. Meanwhile, Calicus tells Strange and the Mordons that the secret to the Ancient One's longevity is also Dormammu's dark powers. Callicus, injuring the Ancient One, flees to Hong Kong.
Strange and Mordo learn that mysterious dark forces have begun to spread their feet on Earth. Strange uses his powers to reverse time. Now Strange's target is Dormammu and his dark forces, whom he wants to destroy. But in this whole exercise, Mordo's side seems to be broken, because Mordo has come to know that the Ancient One was alive for so many years only on the strength of black forces. All these things add to Strange's challenges.
There is no doubt that people will love Doctor Strange as a new superhero. But the most excitement is the visual effects of this film. In 3D its fun is doubled. The canvas of the film is huge and grand in terms of a superhero movie. The depiction of black forces, the character of the Ancient One, its surroundings and all the action scenes are amazing. In its presentation, this film deserves to get full numbers and is also quite different from other superheroes film. In the current era where most of Marvel's superheroes are busy fighting each other, Doctor Strange raises a new hope and creates a new kind of adventure in the adventure.
Due to Indian audience's understanding and acceptance of simple things, it may be a bit difficult to understand the story of the film. Though the film is dubbed in Hindi, the complexity of the story is such that you cannot afford to skip it for a single scene.
